![]() ![]() ![]() This one is cope, but the personality Bayonetta has in 3 is probably a one-off for 3 only. Add in that the game establishes earlier it's April Fools and, well. We don't even know what happens to Viola afterwards other than she left that universe in some way afterwards and is fine too. And as Bayo 2 established, you can just bring her back like that even if you assume that the weird blue glow of faerie magic from Luka while they were going down there means nothing. Every other Cereza that died we saw it break into pieces, even Morgana in Origins has hers shatter on screen for us. Her Umbran Watch didn't break in the battle against Singularity. This also makes Kamiya's ranting about her not actually being dead make slightly more sense. In a hypothetical Viola game, it wouldn't surprise me if she isn't on the same timer that Jeanne was in 2 and can actually be saved. Because Cereza actually formed real bonds with her demons except Gommorah because he's just like that she may have had a "happier" ending. actually be alive after all? Or at least she might not be suffering like the other witches. This phenomena affirmed his bum ass into oblivion twice.Ĭerezita (Bayonetta 3) might. The Arch-Even Origin, and the people aiding her, will always stop him, no matter what he tries, no matter when he tries it. I'd prefer if this was Singularity after 3 because, as you said, it's utterly hilarious and wraps his role up in some fun bit of dramatic irony. The latter would retcon his death outright (which is highly unlikely) and his loss to the children (while hilarious) is implied to have been possible because of the left eye's power. I've seen people say that he's weakened or that this occurs after the events of 3, but neither is explicitly stated to my knowledge. We don't know when Singularity travels to Origins' point in time, nor do we know his relative power level at the time he does so. I think this is just a backdoor origin for β0 tbh Singularity traveling back in time would have to cause a split timeline and we can see from Jeanne's glasses in the vision being different from the ones in Bayo 3. She'd have no way of knowing that she'd die during the fight against Singularity, and because of his impersonation of Sigurd. Singularity doesn't introduce himself to her as Singularity in Jeanne's chapter, nor is he cosplaying as Sigurd when he does so. Jeanne isn't an idiot who forgot how she'd die. Wonderful little game that I think does great to recontextualize some of 3's stuff a little better:
